To constantly try to be brave enough to be shitty at something new."

Living half my life in India and in the US, it became important for me to find a place and understand it thoroughly.
Although I spent the late 90s here in India, there was still much more to learn. 5+ years ago I decided to permanently move to India and immerse myself in, 100%. What I refer to my MBA.
I did this by working on various idea explorations for India, through Khoob. Lazy Eight was a pilot for one of the first explorations I started, which was into the Future of work in India.
We will be announcing it in a month or two, essentially a new age consulting firm for India which adopts radical ideas into the future of work.
[Investment banking in hindsight worth it?]
I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a great senior team that helped me learn the core fundamentals around M&A and Private Capital specifically in Digital Media & Technology (my group).
Living in the city that never sleeps (New York), it helped having a job that didn't let me sleep, ha.
[Startup > MBA?]
MBA; I think in it's purest form it can be taught best as an apprenticeship. My vehicles to learn it and hopefully soon "master" it would be startups.
I would say design.
I think it's something that no one can really master since the concept is evolving (wet clay).
[What are the top 3 fundamentals of good designing?]
I think the most neglected skill is understanding space and spacing. Followed by color theory and then having the ability to tell the story (either through words / visuals) as crisply as possible keeping in mind the goal for the design / redesign (KPIs ..etc).
Announcing the various explorations I have been working on over the past 5 years out of Khoob.
This initiative that you are working on being so huge that people start bringing in "nepotism" for the reason of the follow-up chat :p
[ Nepotism maybe, but I'd like to think/ hope it's to hear your vision about the various Khoob explorations. Give us a sneak peak into one of them we'll hear more about. ]
At Khoob we fund and build teams around radical explorations for India. Below are the explorations we have been working on patiently for the past few years, that we will be launching this year..
काम /WORK/Q1
कल्याण/ WELLNESS/Q1

❤︎ Here is the exclusive first look the new Khoob website which will launch 1.14.2020.
This would be a much longer conversation.
But in short - It is different, very different.
I think the good here is very good, the bad, very bad. India in my opinion has to have the widest spectral gamut from any country when it comes to work culture, ethics, economics, ethos, etc.
I think that is what attracts me to India and what makes it magical. Essentially, there are many experiences for one to have at the same time many problems one can aim to solve that can affect many people's lives.
